Sponsorship

We need your support

The project will be launched in April 2015 and funding is in place for some of the figures. However, more is needed to complete the trail of 15 to 30 life-size statues. There is an opportunity to support the project through sponsorship. Each of the proposed 30 individual life-size statues is available to select from. A portfolio of figure design will be available to select from. Choose your favourite character.

What will you receive?

Your sponsorship will cover the fabrication, decoration, installation and maintenance of the statue by a local artist. The statues will be placed in a naturalistic setting along a trail around landmarks in Plymouth. Because they are locally designed and produced, the number of statues will only be limited by the amount of sponsorship available. Hopefully, it will grow on the back of its own success. Digital and printed media will be created for the Beryl Cook Trail and a character guide will be produced, bringing extra life to the figures.

In return for your sponsorship you will receive:

  • Your chosen character from a portfolio of 15 – 30 statue designs
  • Your name on a plaque mounted at the base of your chosen figure for 2 years
  • 8 x 10 framed photograph of you with your installed figure
  • A copy of the Beryl Cook Trail
  • Business sponsors only: Authorisation to use the Beryl Cook Trail Logo in your marketing and promotional materials. Also, your company logo will feature in the exclusive digital and printed Beryl Cook Trail Map and Guide. your company logo will be promoted through local, national and international press and media coverage.

Welcome to the official website of the Beryl Cook Trail, a proposed project that plans to bring the much loved work of the late Beryl Cook to life with a series of 15 to 30 life-size statues placed around her hometown, Plymouth. The statues would be drawn from her most famous works and placed in prominent areas of the City, in order to produce an art trail for visitors to follow. The statues will all be unique, individual characters and will add a permanent colourful addition to the other landmarks in Plymouth.

The project aims to be launched in April, 2015 with some of the necessary funding already secured. However, more is needed to complete the trail of 15 to 30 life-size statues.
